Alexisonfire Hits the Studio

Nick Blagona will produce Alexisonfire's next albumAccording to the band's blog, Canadian five-piece band Alexisonfire are currently in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the studio, recording their fourth full-length album entitled Young Cardinals. This new album is scheduled to be released during summer 2009 on Distort Entertainment (in Canada) and on Vagrant Records (in the US). For the second time, AoF are working with Nick Blagona (of Deep Purple, Protest the Hero, Ten Second Epic, and a lot more... fame), who had produced their last album Crisis.

Interviewed by Chart Attack in January, George Petit revealed that this time, he would scream less and sing more... or scream less and shout more as he said.

This proves Internet rumours to be wrong about the band breaking up. This might be due to Dallas Green's very successful solo side-project City and Colour.

No official track listing of Young Cardinals has yet been provided, but it should include the following: "Born and Raised", "No Rest", "Young Cardinals", "No Police", "Two Sisters", "The Northern", "Fire" and "Hard Souls" which have been played during the last tour across Canada.
