MxPx's World Tour Starts Wrong

Bremerton, Washington-based pop punk three-piece MxPx just started their world tour to promote their latest cover album entitled On the Cover II and already the problems are coming out. On Day 1 in Utrecht, Netherlands, their tour bus caught fire! Guitarist Tom Wisniewski explained the situation on Alternative Press's website:
"So when we got to the venue we all got some food and then went to take a nap. We were awaken by the bus driver yelling "get out of the bus now". Apparently the shore power overloaded something electrical in the bus and started a fire. Firemen showed up, extinguishers were emptied and we got dressed on the sidewalk. The bus stinks of electrical fire now and there is a new bus on it's way to us as I type this... And today was going so smoothly!?!?!?!?"

New Album for Set Your Goals Before the End of Summer

Pop/punk rock/melodic hardcore band Set Your Goals should be releasing a new album before the end of summer. On his blog, vocalist Matt Wilson announced an attempt of having the new, still untitled, album ready for July 21st, 2009. It is not mixed nor mastered yet as guests haven't recorded their tracks yet. The label is still unknown, but should be revealed at the end of the week. Wilson says:
"It's been 3 years since we recorded our last full length and this record is without a doubt ten times the record Mutiny! was for a variety of reasons. It's faster, less goofy, more complex both musically and lyrically, plus we've all gotten way better at our instruments and we had a lot more time in the studio to work on things until we were happy with them. The bar has been raised."
