Who Is Hunter?

Hunter is a hardcore punk band from Brampton, Ontario. The five-piece is the latest add to the Dine Alone Records roster. No band members have been explicitly revealed, unless you visit and search www.WhoIsHunter.ca! The band features Moneen guitarists and singers Kenny Bridges and Erik Hughes, drummer Jordan Hastings from Alexisonfire, Greg Dawson from BWC Studios and Billy Curtiss from defunct The Abandoned Hearts Club. You can hear two songs and two demos on the supergroup's MySpace page. No tour dates, album release are announced except for a show at Siesta Nouveaux in Toronto, April 29th, 2009.

Serjical Strike Recruits Death By Stereo

Hardcore punk band Death by Stereo just signed to Serj Tankian's record label. The four-piece from Orange County will be releasing their next album with Serjical Strike Records on July 14th, 2009. Death Is My Only Friend is their first album in four years and the first not to be released on Epitaph Records. The band's last album was Death for Life on in 2005.

Rise Against Signs Back to Fat and Releases New Seven Inch

Melodic hardcore band from Chicago, Illinois Rise Against recently signed back with Fat Wreck Chords. They had released all their albums with NOFX Fat Mike's record label until they signed with Geffen Records for their third full-length, Siren Song of the Counter Culture. Along with this new record contract, the four-piece will release a two-song self-titled seven inch on May 12th, 2009. It will be available for pre-order on Fat Wreck's website May 5th. Both songs are unreleased tracks from their latest full-length entitled Appeal to Reason: "Grammatizator" and "Voice of Dissent".

Alexisonfire Signs to Dine Alone Records

After this weekend's win for Dallas Green at the JUNO Awards for songwriter of the year, singer and guitarist from Alexisonfire announces that the band is signing to Dine Alone Records. The Canadian post-hardcore band from St. Catharines, Ontario will release their fourth album Old Crows / Young Cardinals in the summer of 2009 on Dine Alone. This newest album is currently in its last miles of recording and mastering in Vancouver, British Columbia.
